Environmental Policy, the foundation of Grifols commitment, is decided upon by management and applies to all Grifols companies.

ISO 14001 Certification, an Environmental Management System, applies to all the companies located in Spain.

The System is organized in a way which has homogenized the management from different centers, taking advantage of synergies and integrating the environmental requirements in everyday work procedures.

Our commitment to the environment has substantially improved in all areas, especially in the optimization of energy resources, separation and re-use of waste products and in the quality of waste water.

The objectives of these environmental policies are decided upon in the Environmental Committee Meetings for each company, and are focused on improving the main environmental issues.

Training to raise awareness among employees is one of the strong points of the system, as without their participation these policies could not be successfully implemented.


Eco-design criteria in new processes and plants and identification of environmental issues in the design stage of new products allow us to anticipate and minimize potential future impacts on the environment.
