Human alpha-1-antitrypsin (AAT) concentrate.
• Production process developed to preserve AAT activity.
• Two specific steps of virus elimination: Solvent Detergent and nanofiltration (15 nm).
• Indicated for chronic augmentation therapy in patients with congenital AAT deficiency (phenotypes PiZZ, PiZ(Null), Pi(Null)(Null), PiSZ), with clinically demonstrable pulmonary emphysema.
• Maintains protective levels of AAT in plasma.
• Increases the anti-elastase capacity in the bronchoalveolar lavage.
• Good tolerance and safety in replacement therapy in patients with AAT deficiency-related emphysema.
