ISR studies are unsolicited, independent research which generally are hypothesis generating and/or provide proof of concept data. They may be pre-clinical, clinical in vivo and/or ex vivo, or retrospective data analysis studies, and are designed to answer questions that clinicians face in their day-to-day practice. The non-Grifols partner acts as the Sponsor and Grifols provides support to conduct the research.

Yes, you must first submit a completed concept form and CVs of all study staff. If your study concept meets Grifols criteria, you will be invited to submit a full research proposal for evaluation by the ISR Review Committee. Yes, each submission must include the completed submission form and an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) for all study staff listed on the submission form.
There are typically two ISR Review cycles each year during which ISR proposal submissions are evaluated for potential funding by the ISR Review Committee.
