To strengthen transparency and operational rigor, audits are routinely carried out across plasma centers, laboratories, manufacturing facilities and warehouses. We also conduct comprehensive supplier audits through our Supplier Qualification Management System, ensuring that all raw materials meet the required quality standards.

Through Patient Affairs, we support these groups with reliable and transparent information in their efforts to increase disease awareness, promote early diagnosis, provide education and support and advocate for improved availability of treatment and care.

Awards zur Verbesserung der Versorgung von Patienten mit Hämophilie

Improving access to treatment
Blood plasma contains hundreds of essential proteins and antibodies vital to the body's ability to maintain critical functions. Thanks to the generosity of plasma donors, we are able to produce plasma-derived medicines that treat chronic, rare, prevalent and, at times, life-threatening conditions.
We work to help countries achieve plasma self-sufficiency and expand global access to plasma-derived medicines, aiming to make essential therapies more widely available. Our commitment has brought us to reach alliances with public systems around the world:
- Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives is the joint venture that we established with the Egyptian government to build the first integrated platform for sourcing and producing plasma medicines in Egypt and the wider region.
- The company also has a long-term agreement with Canadian Blood Services, Canada’s national blood authority, to increase the country’s self-sufficiency in immunoglobulin (Ig) medicines.
In addition, we also run initiatives such as patient assistance and emergency supply programs to address barriers to treatment access.
