Board of Directors

Ms. Le Couilliard has more than 20 years' healthcare management experience gained in Europe, the US and Asia. Much of her career has been in pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline PLC, UK, where, amongst other roles, Ms. Le Couilliard headed the US vaccines business and Asia Pacific Pharmaceuticals business and led a program to modernize the commercial model. She was previously Chief Operating Officer at the BMI Group of private hospitals in the UK.

Joanna Le Couilliard holds, in addition to her role as independent director of Grifols, S.A., the following other offices as: (i) independent director of Recordati S.p.A. (listed on the Italian Stock Exchange) since 2019, (ii) member of the Board of Directors of Washington Topco Ltd, UK (significantly-sized company) which is the holding company of GlobalData Healthcare, UK (since September 2024) and (iii) director of PolyPeptide AG (listed on SIX Swiss Exchange) since April 2025.

Previously, Ms. Le Couilliard was a member of the board of directors of Indivior PLC, Niox Group PLC, UK, Alliance Pharma PLC, UK, Cello Health PLC, UK, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, and Frimley Park NHS Foundation Trust, UK.

Ms. Le Couilliard graduated in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and is a Chartered Accountant.
